SUMMER INTERNSHIP

ODE is a small retail studio featuring handcrafted, artisan-made goods. We are seeking interns to work with our Founder/Director. Internships will consist of flexible assignments adapted to the organization’s needs as well as the candidate’s strengths and interests. Internships are part time (12-20 hours per week) and can range from two months to a year. These are unpaid internships but are eligible for course credit, to the extent accepted by your educational institution. Summer internships will start in early June and run through mid-August.

 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Providing all customers with an excellent experience via emails, phone calls, and events
  • Assisting during local events, including pulling inventory, setup and takedown, and staffing the events
  • Researching and planning new markets and events
  • General maintenance of our website and other sales channels
  • Assisting with inventory management practices
  • Researching and recommending potential wholesale opportunities
  • Working on social media to engage with customers on various platforms.
  • Creating and managing content for Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter; schedule social media on Hootsuite
  • Researching and assisting in the creation of blog content
  • Developing email marketing campaigns

 

We seek individuals with excellent business and interpersonal skills, humility, curiosity, and a genuine desire to solve business and creative challenges. We expect each intern to become acquainted with many different facets of the business, take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team.

 

More specifically, we look for the following qualifications in potential candidates:

  • Graduated from or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's program
  • Strong work ethic and ability to self-manage. High attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Friendly and people-focused personality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior work experience
  • Willingness to work remotely and attend occasional in-person meetings.
